(E)JES/2 Version 2, Release 2 is Now Available
(E)JES/2 Version 2 Release 2 is now available for download from our FTP site. (E)JES/2 is a client/server, object-oriented user interface for managing OS/390 JES2 and JES3 systems from a personal computer. Communicating directly with IBM’s SDSF for JES2 and our own (E)JES product for JES3, (E)JES/2 takes robust functionality, previously available only to 3270 users, and integrates it with powerful, easy-to-use, standard workstation interfaces, creating a best-of-both-worlds solution.
This new release is even easier to use, requiring fewer “keystrokes” (or “mouse strokes”) for practically everything. Some other key enhancements include:
- Ability to use (E)JES/2 through a firewall/NAT
- RACF messages returned during client logon
- Ability to perform password changes
- Support for providing line mode input to TSO command processors
- Support for viewing AFP output at the workstation
- Resizable ISPF GUI window
- Support for new OS/390 V2R10 SDSF capabilities
- Improved speed and response time
