zHISR 2.9 Features Counter Data Collection and Analysis
zHISR 2.9 is now generally available. This release of the product has the ability to collect and analyze counter data provided by the z/Architecture CPU Measurement Facility. As with other zHISR collections, the data can be stored in a UNIX file or z/OS data set.
Users can browse the collected data directly, download and view it using their own application, or allow zHISR to analyze the collection and chart the data in a histogram. This histogram combines counter data with the top job service units (CPU time plus I/O count) at each interval, giving users a quick way to see which jobs are the biggest CPU consumers.
